Empowering disadvantaged Tamil families in North and East part of Sri Lanka
In this program, we work with families who have challenges maintaining a stable income, lack of economic resources for employment, poor education etc. We focus on each family more comprehensively and provide biopsychosocial and spiritual support. Our ultimate goal is psychological, economic, educational and political empowerment. To achieve this goal, Valluvam is involved with these families through different projects.

Case Management Support for Adults
We provide support for adults without identification documents. We help individuals apply and follow up for "Samukthi" (social assistance) and food stamps. We connect individuals with the appropriate resources if required. Resources are provided for medical, psychological and/or mental health issues.
Thrift Stores for Families in Need of Clothing, Furniture and Household Items
In order to sustain a meaningful life, we charge individuals at very low prices for basic necessities that are given as donations. All proceeds are recycled into the organization to aid indivuduals through our numerous projects and programs.
Providing Funds for Social Events
We provide funds to community organizers to host social events in order to build a community involving Tamil solidarity and social empowerment. Our overall goal is to engage our community in happy and meaningful lives.
